Free barcode and QR code generator for manufacturers
Make one code, or a whole run of labels from your Excel list.
Built for small and medium manufacturers in India: job cards, bins, material lots and cartons. Download a code as an image, or print labels on a thermal printer or A4 label sheets. No sign-up, and nothing you type leaves your browser.
Letters, numbers and symbols. The best all-round choice for labels used inside your company.
Printing opens your browser's print window. Choose your label printer, or “Save as PDF” to print later. Set the scale to 100% (“actual size”), and print one sheet on plain paper first to check it lines up.

labels that scan — on the shop floor, not just in the office
Labels that still scan next month.
- 1
Leave white space around the code. Scanners need a blank margin on both sides. Don't crop a barcode to the edge of the label.
- 2
Shorten the value, not the bars. A long value makes a long barcode. If it won't fit, use a job number instead of a description.
- 3
Print black on white, at 100%. Coloured bars, dark labels, shiny laminates and “fit to page” scaling cause most scanning trouble.
- 4
Match the label to the place it lives. Direct thermal labels fade with heat and sunlight. Near oil, coolant or handling, use thermal transfer with a resin ribbon on synthetic labels.
- 5
Test ten before you print a thousand. Stick a few where they'll really live for a few days, then scan them again.
questions — and what comes after the label
The barcode is the easy part.
A scan tells you which job you're holding. What you know about that job is often somewhere else: the latest drawing in an email, the customer's change on WhatsApp, the status in someone's Excel sheet.
We build custom systems for small and medium manufacturers that bring it into one place, and your team uses them through Youno, a work chat app as simple as WhatsApp.
Book a callIs it really free?
Yes. No sign-up, no watermark and no limit on how many codes you make or print.
Is my data safe?
Your codes are made in your own browser. Nothing you type or paste is sent to us or to anyone else, so job numbers, customer names and links stay on your computer.
Can I print labels straight from my Excel list?
Yes. Choose “Many labels”, copy a column from Excel and paste it in. Copy two columns and the second one is printed above each code as label text. Then print to your label printer, or save as a PDF.
Which printer do I need?
For regular labelling, a desktop thermal label printer with label rolls. For a few sheets at a time, any office printer with A4 label sheets works. Print at 100% scale and test one sheet on plain paper first.
Can I use these barcodes on products sold in shops?
Only with numbers issued to your company by GS1 India. The generator will draw any valid EAN-13, but retailers and marketplaces check that the number is registered to you.
Why won't my scanner read the QR code?
Many older scanners only read linear barcodes. QR codes and Data Matrix need a 2D imager, or a phone camera.
